Under Construction

Here are several photographs which record several different events: the first is the day the parts were removed from my player for rebuilding back in November, 1997. The second was the "big day" back in January of this year, when major repair work was done to this unit and the rebuilt parts were re-installed. The third section (coming soon) is from May when the lower section was rebuilt.

Various wooden pieces of the case removed from the piano for reinstalling rebuilt parts.
Hammers before reinstallation. (Outside on the front porch in January.)
The rebuilt air motor before reinstallation.
Your basic full upright piano with something very, very special in the lower section. The foot pump which is a dead giveaway that this is a player piano.
This was taken the day before parts were removed for rebuilding. It was about to wake up from a thirty-five year long slumber.

The hallway in my house during the "big day." Anticipation filled the air!
