Comments: I am also restoring a player that was in the basement of a house we were renovating in White Plain, New York.  The owner of the house said that it was in the basement  when they bought it in 1943.  About 20 years ago when they built a deck over the cellar doors,  blocking the easy way out for the old piano.  He called me about 5 months back and asked if I knew of anyone who would smash it with a sledge hammer and remove it for  free.  I thought he was joking but when I realized he wasn't I got in my truck and spent the next three days taking it apart and lugging it up the inside of the house to get it out.  Needless to say I have a new hobby.   It has been a lot of fun so far and it is nice to know that their are people like yourself that also have a common intrest.   I loved your site and good luck with yours it looks great!

How Did You Find My Site: Found it looking at player pianos stuff
E-mail Address:dbrec@swbell.net
Web Site: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/shavings/index.html
Comments: I really like your site. I love the ragtime music. I also like classical stuff. I bought an old Purcell 88 note player about 10 years ago as is for $100, and after about 5 years I decided to dive into it to rebuild all of the pneumatics and get it operational. I took a week off from my day job and worked day and night and was happy I did, for I have been enjoyingit now for the past 5 years. I am now in the process of turning an old British Archibald Ramsden 85 key into a 65 note player, as I have many rolls I want to hear. As you must know, it is lots of work rebuilding one let alone manufacturing one. It is coming along nicely "at this time", "Who knows" what problems I may run into from here. I will let you know how it turns out. I hope withinthe next month I will be done with it. Thanks...

Comments=What can I possibly suggest! I love this website...........I have a Dynavoice piano player that still works, actually I also have another one that works partially....plus a skeleton for repairs! I had many Ampico rolls that I had to sell as they did not play on this Dnyavoice piano player. I love this type of music and I do have many qrs rolls that do play on my silly little old fashioned machine! Do you have any idea if they have any worth at all? I'd be curious, tho I'd never sell mine! I do have this second one, in the basement, incase my first one breaks! Thanks for sharing this fabulous site with me! Totally enjoyable.

Comments=Thoroughly enjoyed your site, thanks loads.  I particularly  enjoy classical music.  The Rachmaninoff was super. I am sure that I will return to listen when I need to get away from the contemporary hustle
and bustle.  We had a played piano when I was a kid, nastalgia GALORE. I spent many hours using the rollers.  Think I still have some in the barn on the 3rd floor tucked away in a box.  Mom who recently passed
away at 95, was classically trained and our home always had wonderful music.  Well, thanks again for a wonderful site.

Comments=I am now in what is known as the afternoon of life and during most of it I can recall a pianola in the house.  The one I have now is a Murray that I purchased for my mum some years ago.  Mum loved pianolas, and this one I took home when my Mum died. It was transported from Brisbane to my home in Cooktown, some 2,200 kilometers by three different carriers and the last 300 kilometers over very rough dirt road. Although it is in the tropics with very high humidity, the old girl still plays well.  It is the only pianola in town and facinates the local
kids. (and some adults too)    Regards, Don Sinclair

Thanks for sharing, it's a nice site to visit!
